Aimee’s softball career began in a less-than-inspiring middle-school P.E. class and extended through a ninth-grade P.E. class that was even worse than the middle-school P.E. class. When ninth grade ended, Aimee threw down her glove in celebration that she would never have to play softball again.
She shocked herself by joining the Express softball team in its inaugural season as catcher. Following extensive bruising on her shins from stray balls, however, Aimee refuses to hold that position again. (In fact, her fear of being hit in the face as catcher is the reason the Express softball equipment includes a catcher’s mask.) These days, Aimee enjoys chillin’ in right field, chasing after the occasional left-handed hit.
