Frequent pitching starter Andy Bonior returns to the 20-Minutemen with a brand new pitch this year. In addition to his “Regular-lob-in-the-strike-zone” pitch and his crafty “Tried-to-hit-the-strike-zone-but-missed-for-a-ball” toss, he is planning to add a third: the “Slightly-wobbly-lob-that-hopefully-isn’t-noticed-by-the-umpire” — which consists of adding a glob of ever- present home-field mud to the side of the ball before pitching.
Offensively, this year Bonior has set lofty goals, including “not tearing or pulling any more god-damned muscles or ligaments” and “finally getting around to buying some cleats.”
