Betsy is a mid-season addition to the team, having initially declared that Saturday mornings were reserved for “sleeping in” and “lazing about.” After some deep soul searching — and a small scolding from her father, himself a former office softball enthusiast circa 1977 — she saw the error of her ways and signed on to the Minutemen.
Betsy has yet to prove if she can consistently hit, throw or catch the ball, but plans to make up for her erratic tendencies by regularly displaying highly caffeinated enthusiasm and occasionally organizing post-game events involving bloody marys and mimosas.
